This week
I've been serving as an helper for VBS at my grandparents' church in Minnesota. It was neat to see God work this week, and it went very smoothly. At least two children came to know Christ as Savior, (one of which was my cousin!), and possibly more. The kids listened well, asked good questions, and obeyed pretty well. God kept ironing out the details and providing in even the smallest of ways that it just kept us in awe of His goodness.
Each day, I took a van load of neighborhood kids to VBS. One of them asked a lot of good questions, and I pray she comes to Christ soon. She asked for a Bible on Tuesday, and then what verses to read in it. When she asked about something later in the week and I referred to a Bible verse, she said, "I didn't realize ALL THAT was in the Bible. I guess I should read it every day!" Praise the Lord! That IS what it is all about. Pray that she will read it and see how Jesus can wash away her sin. She doesn't know much about God, as today, she asked me, "Did God go to school when you went to school?" So, I got the privilege of explaining who God is to this precious child. It is so sweet to share the gospel with children who don't know Jesus!
