Making a Difference

Today in junior church, we had eight kids, including two visitors. It was so special to have them all participating and having a blast.  We finished a little early, so we went outside to play on the swings. All of the kids wanted to talk at once and tell me how life was going with them.

One boy, getting into his car, asked his mom "how does this verse start?" referring to our memory verse. Starting half of the verse, he quoted what he could remember. His mom says, "I don't know, ask your teacher."  It was so neat to see him excited to share what he learned with his mom...
"But when we were yet without strength, in due time, Christ died for the ungodly." Romans 5:8

Another boy, who usually comes on occaision, but doesn't talk or really participate came today. His mom said all week long he talked about "Mr. David." This boy doesn't EVER really talk, so she decided to bring him again. This week is the first time I think I've ever seen him smile.

Sometimes, it seems that you're not doing anything out of the ordinary, but if you are where God wants you, you will make a difference. That's the wonderful beauty of serving the Lord!
