Just the other day, as I went out to do chores, I almost stepped on this frost-covered dandelion. Though I'm not particularly a fan of this annoying weed and would just as soon feed it to my goats, this one caught my eye."But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise: and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty; and base things of the world, and things which are despised, hath God chose, yea, and things which are not, to bring to nought things that are: that no flesh should glory in His presence." 1 Corinthians 1:27-29
This mushroom, on the side of a trail is so small, yet evidences that God takes pleasure in detail. He cares about the little things. He loves to show His glory through weakness.Once again, God reminds me that I am only who He makes me to be; He is my glory, and my All in All. If God chooses to use a "base" weed, then He will only use me if I am poor before His Spirit. Lord, empty me of myself, that I might be full and overflowing with You.
