Wow! I just got back from an amazing week of Elisha's Academy Leadership Camp. It is a small camp for 13-18 yr olds who want to counsel or help out at camp. On Monday, the dean called me and asked for me to come help, and the camp started Wednesday! Besides feeling a little rushed at first, it was so refreshing to be with kids who are truly seeking the Lord and striving to be an example.
The theme this year was Adoniram Judson- Committed to the Truth. In each of the 4 chapel services each day, the speakers highlighted the Call, Committment, and Cost of being in God's Plan. Truly a good subject for that age group, and the Lord worked amazingly in some of the teens' hearts.
Part of this camp are the work projects quickly and cheerfully tackled by willing campers. They painted, picked up garbage, cut and stacked wood, washed the dishes, and anything else that "Mr. Joe" could come up with.
