"Why does it make a difference?"

How exciting it is to teach children about my Lord! This week at Junior Church, we learned about Don't Bow Down or Serve other gods. This week, as we were quoting the verses...
"Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them, for I the Lord thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate Me, and showing mercy unto thousands of them that love Me and keep My commandments." (Exodus 20:4,5)
...when one of the boys asked: "Why does it make a difference to my children whether or not I follow God?" This boy is 9 years old! So, we got to talk about the influence of a godly home, praying for your children, and living in a way that honors God.
Yes, Junior Church DOES make a difference!
This is a picture of what getting ready for Junior church looks like: A box full of story props, candy, balloons, lesson plans (!), Bible, snack, and object lessons. Usually, I look like I'm moving to church, but we always have a blast, and the boys are learning.
