The Value of a Heart

While working as a Character Coach, I come across many children. Some greet me with a smile, some run up and give me hugs, and still others send me notes and phone calls, just wanting to know me. How precious it is to have these lives placed in my care by the Father. He knows what they need, and it is so neat to watch Him work in their lives.
Recently, I talked to a young friend of mine, (who will remain nameless for security purposes). Since I hadn't heard from her, I called her up. Even though she had been sick, she was able to talk to her, and we had a short chat. She was all excited about her cat, and valentines day, and a few other things that catch little girls' fancy. I may never see this girl ever again, but praise the Lord, I still can talk to her. What an influence!
To those who are reading this, this is not just the ramblings on of a twenty year-old. This is a reminder. Your life will influence people, and no matter how great or small it is, you can be sure, you do not live an island unto yourself. God places people around you on purpose. Use what he gives you wisely, and live a life worth following.
Through Christ,
Barbara
