His Hands Over Mine

The sky is white, the ground is white. All I can do is watch for telephone poles and mailboxes and try to stay between them. Daddy dropped me off at home after HE had gone into the ditch. (You have to understand... my daddy can get through anything.) Even though I'm in the pickup with four-wheel-drive, it is still all I can do to stay on the road.
Drifting is usually worse on corners and I wondered what it would be like when I got to the corner at the end of our road. "Lord, bless me with wisdom, a sound mind, a peaceful spirit, and a safe journey. Help me stay on the road all the way to the Nefsger's house!"
Amazingly enough, I made it there, but the whole way, I had this overwhelming feeling that God's hands were over mine on that steering wheel. There's no way I should have stayed on the road- check out my tracks!
Although my amazing driver daddy succombed to the ditch, My Heavenly Father is very interested in the welfare of His daughter, and He kept me on the road! What a God I serve!

Here's some pictures to illustrate:

Yes, we are of the road. Because the car high-centered, we couldn't go anywhere, and the snow was about halfway up my door (and drifting more!). Thank God for good neighbors like Uncle Dan who pulled us out!
