Okay, so it is still February. But, we did enjoy the story about Jesus' travel (i.e. camping trip) to Jerusalem and how He chose to honor His parents even though He didn't have to. We learned that just obeying isn't honoring, it is having a good attitude and doing their wishes as well as commands.
The kids are picking up so much, and I'm excited about that. During review time today, some of the older ones were telling about past stories, and explaining the story line some, but mainly sharing the concepts behind the stories. Wow! God is really working. When we went to sing our theme song, half of the boys had it memorized. That's great, because it is taken word for word out of Scripture. They just memorized Psalm 119:97&101, and they didn't even know it. Most of them keep up easily on Exodus 20 too, which is fantastic, because the previous teacher had trouble getting them to learn verses. I had one visitor, as well as a few that don't usually come. One of my students' family wouldn't come, but since she wants to go to church, they all come.
IT IS JUST GREAT TO SEE GOD WORK!
